Analytics: Get the Overall Picture

The 7Search Team tries to do its best, helping you to get the most from your campaign. We, however, are limited by the amount of data you are able to supply. Your campaign may produce numbers, but the amount of clicks received and the cost can only tell you so much. How are you able to make the best decisions about your campaign if you are only getting a small part of the overall picture?

One of the tools that is readily available out there that can help you to gain more insight about the action on your sight is a form of data analytics. These are systems that take the information gained from your campaigns and help you to interpret the activity you have received in order to help you grow your business. For many of our advertisers, this may be the first time they have heard of this. There is no such thing as too much information, and if you have a new business, knowledge is power.

Today, I wanted to write about one of the systems that are out there, so you can take a look for yourself and decide if this is something that can help you. One of these is Google Analytics. This may be the most versatile and user friendly interfaces on the market, and is continually updated to meet the demands of the market. “GA” monitors your reports and alerts you of any significant changes, develops and delivers reports that you are able to customize based on your parameters, provides data on converting campaigns and keywords so you can more easily optimize your efforts, and informs you about the sources of your traffic (mobile apps, phones, etc.). All of this leads to you creating ads that are targeted to your audience, within your budget, and more easily tracked.

Many of our advertisers use this on several different platforms. An advertiser on 7Search may be using GA for their campaigns on Google, Bing, and AdMarketplace. It becomes a central hub where your business data is assembled. If you are having an issue on 7Search, you have the ability to gather your evidence and provide us with the information we need to help you improve your efforts.

The important element to remember about this tool is that it allows you to perform like a professional. The compilation of data and generation of reports gives you the ability to make solid decisions quickly. Instead of simply throwing money into a campaign and “hoping for the best,” you can fund a campaign, take a sample of data and make adjustments based on facts. The amount and variety of reports that you can set up can allow you to know when your spending is lower or higher than your budget allows, parse out your data through a variety of metric standards to get to the simplest solutions, and track activity on several specific levels. This can allow you to keep your business safe and grow your profitability.

You don’t need me to sell this product to you. You can find out more on your own and make your own decision. Go to the Google blog feed here (http://analytics.blogspot.com/) to learn more. Whatever decision you make, please keep in mind that if you can supply yourself with more information, you can improve your chances of success.
