Our Rules and Guidelines: It's a Wrap
We have completed our look at our Advertiser Rules and Guidelines. I started this exploration as a way to fully expound on the meanings and logic behind each rule, so our advertisers could easily understand our needs and vice versa. This became an opportunity for me to refresh my knowledge regarding our standards. I was reminded of the importance of tasks like checking keywords for relevancy and accounts for multiples of the same campaign.
I was also reminded of the importance of maintaining the integrity of our advertisers. The majority of these rules address the proper use of our network, and to “play fair.” We do our fair share of policing, but these were instituted so that advertisers would police themselves. As a business partner, wouldn’t you want your other half to perform the way you would expect, and to be honest and forthright? These rules simply ask our business partners to meet us half way.
