New Advertiser Training: You can do it, Rock!

Don’t you wish you had someone to coach you through some of the projects you take on? A guide to help you fix your plumbing, or to do that tune up on your car, or even to figure out why your computer just decides to stop working? Well, there may not always be that person around to look over your shoulder, and say “DON’T TOUCH THAT!” You can get that help (most likely without being yelled at) when you sign up for an account with 7Search.

As an advertiser with 7Search, you are assigned a New Advertiser Training Representative, or NAT rep. This position was designed by 7Search to help new or novice internet advertisers to transition into their new accounts and campaigns. This is a person whom you can refer to as you begin your relationship with 7Search for insight and for assistance with our features, navigating our platform, or for an editorial eye on your campaign choices. Based on my experience dealing with advertisers both on the phone and in back-and-forth email correspondence, a majority of our advertisers need the help. Not only are they unfamiliar with what we do as a company and how we can help them improve their results, but with advertising as a whole.

Unfortunately, many of our new members have the belief that all you have to do is get a website, and that surfers will come to them, and all they have to do is sit back and count the money. There really is no such thing (apologies for the bursting of any bubbles). In order to begin making a profitable business, work has to be put into your site and campaign. This includes monitoring and adjusting your campaign as you go. That is where your NAT rep can help.

You may come to a point where you are not sure what to do next, or you aren’t even sure if you have built a campaign correctly. You can turn to one of us. Currently, we have 3 NAT representatives on staff: Veronica Claudio, Elizabeth Burton, and I. Veronica and Elizabeth are senior members of our staff, having almost 19 years of experience between the two of them. We receive new advertisers every day, and contact each one by email to offer our assistance. I have contacted around 800 new advertisers in the last 5 months through email to make sure that they are able to log in, are aware of our YouTube tutorials, or our features.

What surprises me most on a daily basis about this responsibility is the number of advertisers who do not take advantage of our help. Elizabeth and Veronica have been in this business much longer than I, and have a great wealth of knowledge of not just 7search, but pay per click advertising. We have seen all types of offers and products, different strategies, campaign choices and their consequences. We have access to information about our network and historical data that can help you to improve your performance. Our features can help you improve your performance with a little guidance. Let me expand on the services we can provide:

Free Campaign Assistance This is a service that entails your NAT rep making a critical review of your campaign choices and searching for areas of improvement. This is to not only increase your traffic, but to help you control your costs, so you can improve your ROI (return on investment).

We will assess your keyword choices, the quality of your ad copy, and your bidding strategy. These are some of the main factors that affect your performance, but we will also suggest utilizing other features. If you have the ability, we may suggest adding our conversion tracking code, which allows you and us to determine what keywords are converting for and the cost. We will suggest monitoring and examining your traffic using the reports under the Reports tab in your account. You are able to make more effective choices on your campaign when it is based on actual data.

Oftentimes we will send you keyword suggestions and notes in a spreadsheet, explaining why your campaign may be performing in its particular way. This may also contain suggestions for which features may be most helpful to you, and how to install them. We do our best to explain most thoroughly how to find and implement our tools. If you still have questions, just call us.

Basic Campaign Maintenance 7Search is not structured for campaign management by our staff. We can, upon request, provide some routine adjustment to your campaign if you are unable to install a feature or series of keywords. We are more than happy to make a quick adjustment of keyword match, or delete a problematic keyword, or adjust a bid that may have been implanted incorrectly. Simply email us or call us to request our time.

A person to talk to This seems almost silly, but it seems to be a real comfort to our advertisers, either experienced or completely new to the field. Most everyone has a level of skepticism, especially when giving their money to a company they don’t know very well. Well, we go a little further than other companies. Reaching out to a person in need goes a long way. Our job is to inform, educate, reassure, and cooperate with our advertisers to help them improve their chances of being profitable. Being able to share your concerns can help you to relieve that anxiety. Also, if you do have serious concerns, you don’t have to send an email and hope for a response. Typically we try to respond within 24 business hours. Either way, we go out of our way to satisfy our clients’ needs.

So if you have a New Advertiser Training representative, check in with us. If you are having an issue, let us know. We are here to help.
